- 1 kg fish cut into normal pcs
- 4-5 medium size onion slice
- 4-5 tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp chop garlic
- 2 medium potatoes cut legnth wise
- 2 carrots (optional)
- 1 Tbsp red chilli powder
- 2 Tbsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves
- 1/4 cup fenugreek leaves/dry kasoori methi
- 2 tsp Pulao zeera(black cumin)
- 1/2 cup oil
- 4 pcs whole black pepper, 1" cinnamon stick, 2 bay leaves
Instructions to make Fish Curry. 🐟
- First sprinkle salt on all pieces of fish, set a side or put in fridge, for an hour, than wash.
- Take a pan, heat oil, add whole all spices (garam masala). add onion fry till golden brown, add tomatoes, and all dry and fresh spices.
- Add 1/4cup water, cover and cook at low flame,until gravy become smooth and oil separated.
- Take out masalah gravy, in a dish, add fish in the remaining oil.cook both sides of fish for few minutes,take out fish and put in separate dish.
- Again shift gravy masalah into a pan, add potatoes or any other vegetable, as you like.stir for few minutes,add fish and aprox:1 glass of water for curry.
- Cover and put on low flame till done. Potatoes tender and curry is medium thick. Serve with chapati or rice.
- If fresh fenugreek is not available, then use dry fenugreek (1 Tbsp kasoori methi)
