  3. 8 Bamboo skewers
  4. □ Marinade:
  5. 1 pinch Coriander
  6. 2 tbsp Kecap Manis
  7. 1/4 Onion, grated
  8. 1 tsp Fish sauce
  9. 1 tsp Oil
  10. 1 dash Turmeric
  11. □ Sambal Sate (Dipping Sauce):
  12. 2 tbsp Peanut butter
  13. 2 tbsp Fish sauce
  14. 1/4 tsp Shrimp paste (optional)
  15. 1 tbsp Sugar
  16. 1 adjust the spiciness to your taste Red chili pepper powder

Instructions to make I had this in Bali! Satay! Indonesian Yakitori

  1. This recipe is so easy. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Combine all of the marinade ingredients in a bowl. Put the marinade and the chicken from Step 1 into a Ziploc or sealable plastic bag and let it marinate for at least 20 minutes.
  3. After it has marinated thoroughly, stick the chicken on bamboo skewers. You should have 4 skewers of chicken.
  4. Grill the chicken on a yakitori style rack that can be bought at hardware shops (in Japan.) If you don't have one, you can use a fish or regular grill.
