- First, add turmeric powder and salt to the fish, wash and filter it well. Heat oil in a pan and season it with mustard, cumin, and fenugreek. Add onions and saute well.
- When the onions are fried well, add crushed garlic cloves and saute well. When the garlic is sauteed, add tomatoes and saute well.
- When the tomatoes are cooked well, add chili powder, Kashmiri chili powder, daniya powder, and turmeric powder, and saute well till the raw smell goes away.
- Dissolve the tamarind that has been soaked for half an hour well and add the tamarind water to it and let it boil well. Add the required amount of salt and boil it well and when it boils, add the fish.
- Keep the stove on low flame and let it cook for 5 minutes. Once the fish is cooked, the oil will come out separately, that is when it is ready.
